What we do

In pursuit of our aims, the Zambia Society Trust supports a wide range of projects in Zambia. Many of them originated as self-help projects and some receive support from other charities as well. Many of the projects we support provide practical help for orphans and other vulnerable children, including those whose parents - or surviving parent - may be unable to care for them, ensuring that they have enough to eat and can receive at least basic schooling. The seeds project helps people improve their health by growing their own vegetables. Our concern for the health of young Zambians is also demonstrated through the footballs and netballs for schools project, and we also provide small bursaries for doctors and health workers. Education grants support students taking educational and vocational courses in Zambia. The Trust also supports Zambia's flying surgeons and a project providing employment for disabled people making mobility aids. Follow the links below for a fuller description of each of the areas of the Zambia Society Trust's work.
